Ashish chats Rs 25 golgappa & sukka puri
Ashish Chats is a roadside golgappa (paani puri) shop located in front of Samagra Super Market on Chamaraja Road, Vijayanagar 1st Stage. Ashish Singh (or Atish Singh) has run it for 6 years. He's from UP and speaks decent Kannada.
Someone suggested it was a good one, so we — a family of 4 — went there for a weekend quick bite. We had 2 rounds of golgappa/paani puri plus sukka puri. Sukka puri is my favorite. Everything is Rs 25 per plate.
I was told it's always crowded, but it wasn't when we went. Ashish wears plastic gloves to mix aloo with masala. We had golgappa with paani (no sweet). Street food is all about low cost and experience — so forget hygiene and dust!
